ABOUT THE CONSULTANT:
Sagitta Woodman, LICSW has had the opportunity to work with community partners, refugee resettlement agencies, community health centers, and behavioral health providers, which is unique to understand all aspects of the migrants' experience. She has led workshops at Lowell Community Health Center, Edward Kennedy Community Health Center, Salve Regina University, Rhode Island College, NASW conference in Massachusetts, and USCIS conference in Washington DC on the topics of refugee/immigrant mental health and trauma informed care. She established a mental health component for the medical interpreting program at Dorcas International Institute of RI to ensure that interpreters were equipped to assist in mental health sessions. Sagitta understands the importance of providing comprehensive education and mentorship.
